Rostov NPP fulfilled the May plan for electric power generating by 144.4%

Rostov NPP fulfilled the May plan for power generating by 144.4%. With the planned value being equal to 599 mln kWh, actually, it was generated 864,8 mln kWh.

Among other reasons the plan overfulfilment was achieved owing to the prescheduled accomplishment of the scheduled preventing repair at power unit No. 1.

As of June 1st, since the year beginning Rostov NPP has generated 6 bln 278.5 mln kWh that is 107.4% of the established plan.

Productive electric power generating, which was also above scheduled one, amounts to 5 bln 980 mln kWh and exceeds the target figure by 8.5%.

Federal Tariff Service ratified the plan of electric power generating for 2011 for Rostov NPP two power units in the amount of 14 bln 827 mln kWh

On June 5, 2011 Rostov NPP power unit No. 2 will be put into midlife schedule preventing repair according to the “Schedule of Russian NPPs’ Power Units Repair” ratified by Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Administration.

Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear plant has two operating power units of VVER-1000-type reactors with installed capacity of 1000 MW. Power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power unit No 2 – in December, 2010.
