Rostov NPP Finishes Third Stage of Awareness Days

On June 15 at Rostov NPP there was held the final meeting as part of the regular, the third, stage of Awareness Days. The meeting, which was attended by the managers of the plantХs subdivisions, was held by Andrey Salnikov.

After watching the video with the report of General Director of Rosatom State Corporation, Sergey Kiriyenko, on the outcome of the of the industry in 2011, and plans for 2012, there were mentioned the questions received from the employees of the plant in the course of the passed informational meetings Р in general about 40 questions, most of which were answered immediately.  

The questions, in particular, related to the introduction of innovative programs, project ТIntegrated Optimization of the Production of the Nuclear Industry EnterprisesУ, carrying out tender procedures, strengthening involvement factors, implementation of RPS, health resort treatment, transport service, indexation of wages, and other social and production subjects. Answers for the questions also will be published in the corporate newspaper The Energy of the Atom, and posted on informational stands and SAP-site of the nuclear power plant. A part of the important for the plant workers issues was forwarded to the Central Office of Rosenergoatom Concern and relevant departments of Rosatom State Corporation.   

Director of Rostov NPP, Andrey Salnikov, estimated the passed event the following way: ТThese informational meetings, undoubtedly, are one of the most efficient tools of communication with employees of the industry enterprises. The direct communication of chief executives of the enterprise with the staff, delivering of the important information on the activities and strategy of the State Corporation to every employee, explaining the point and need of the changes underway at the State Corporation and Concern is a very important aspect of the Corporate Policy raising the level of the staffХs involvement. It pleased that employees actively participate in such meetings: they ask questions and share opinions. So we get feedback.У

The employees of the nuclear power plant also noted the benefit of such informational meetings. Chief of the industrial sanitary lab of the Environment Protection Department, Yelena Burlankova, stressed: ТItХs very important that we do not feel ourselves as an enterprise isolated with its tasks and challenges from the industry, but we feel involved in one large organism, which functions consistently and plain. Asking questions we are sure that they are also important for the management, and we know for sure that we will get answers, and the promises given at such meetings will be accomplished.У

Within the third stage of Awareness Days, Rostov NPP held nine meetings under the guidance of Director, Chief Engineer and their Deputies, as well as 40 ТcascadeУ meetings of managers of subdivisions directly with employees of departments and shops of the enterprise. In total during the Days of Awareness there took part 1209 employees of the nuclear power plant.




Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The enterprise is situated on the bank of Tsimlyansk Reservoir at 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. NPP operates two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with the capacity of 1,000 MW. Unit 1 was commissioned in 2001 and Unit 2 Р in December 2010. Power Units 3 and 4 are nowadays under construction.
