Rostov NPP Construction Site is Given Status of Main Platform of All-Russian StudentsХ Construction

On July 6, 2012 in Volgodonsk, on the construction site of Power Units 3 and 4 of Rostov NPP, there took place an official opening of the StudentsХ Construction. More than 200 students from studentsХ brigades of the Rostov region universities (Volgodonsk, Novocherkassk, Zernograd), as well as of universities of other regions of Russia (Nizhny Novgorod and Kostroma) will work here.

In the solemn atmosphere, the management of the general contractor Volgodonsk Branch of JSC NIAEP was awarded with the certificate of assigning the status of the main platform of the ТAll-Russian StudentsХ Construction of Nuclear Industry Facilities at Rostov Nuclear Power PlantУ.



Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The enterprise is situated on the bank of Tsimlyansk Reservoir at 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. NPP operates two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with the capacity of 1,000 MW. Unit 1 was commissioned in 2001 and Unit 2 Р in December 2010.
