On JSC ЗBaltic Shipyard С ShipbuildingИ has been begun one of the most significant events in case of construction of the floating power unit (PEB) for head floating nuclear thermal power plant (PATES) Зthe Academician LomonosovИ.

On September 27, 2013 on PEB the first of two steam-generating blocks (PGB) of the nuclear energy KLT-40S installation was shipped.

The second PGB is planned to be established on October 1, 2013.

Loading of 220-ton PGB collected at Baltic Shipyard on the project of JSC ЗOKBM AfrikantovИ, was performed by the special floating crane ЗDemagИ in the presence of customer representatives Р JSC ЗRosenergoatom ConcernИ, and the Russian sea shipping register.

On terms of the contract the Baltic Shipyard will finish works on completion and hand over PEB ready to towage to the place of operation, in September, 2016.

The first PATES capacity of 70 MWt is planned to be put into operation in the city of Peveka of Chukotka Autonomous Area.
