Rosenergoatom: Occupational Health and Safety Р Priority of Concern

Good utility practices in the field of occupational health and safety at nuclear power plants were presented at the video-conference dedicated to the World Day of Occupational Health and Safety.

The Deputy General Director Р General Inspector of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Nikolay Sorokin noted that occupational health and safety began with the personal responsibility of every person at the place of production.

ТManagers and employees of the Concern realize the importance of increasing the occupational safety in such a hi-tech industry as the nuclear power engineering, and need for systematic work in this direction not only today, but during the whole year as well.  Improving occupational conditions of our workers and their abidance by safety rules are the priority tasks of the home policy of the Concern,У stressed Nikolay Mikhailovich.  

By tradition, during April nuclear power plants held events on preventing industrial injuries and occupational diseases: those were the seminars, meetings, addressing of directors to the plantsХ staff, professional skill contests and contests for the best knowledge of occupational safety regulations, exhibitions of work clothes, and personal protective equipment.

After the video-conference, there have passed awarding of the best employees in the field of occupational safety according to the results of 2011 work.

The title ТThe Best Worker of Occupational Health and Safety of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSCУ, by the results of 2011, was given to Olga Skrypnikova, a Balakovo NPP occupational safety engineer; Igor Filatov, a Deputy Chief of radiation safety department of Bilibino NPP; Alexander Shalyapin, a Chief Inspector of Kalinin NPP; Viktor Manokhin, a Chief of the supplying networks workshop of Novovoronezh NPP; German Kuzmin, a Chief of the occupational safety department of Smolensk NPP.


On behalf of the General Director, the workers were awarded with diplomas of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.
