According to the results of XVII PEGAZ -2010 (Petroleum Energy Gas) International JournalistsХ Contest, the paper of Balakovo NPP public information centre called ТThe Best Article on the Problems of Russian TEKs (fuel-and-power sector)У was awarded in several nominations at once.

This prestigious journalistsХ contest has been held by All Russian Public Academy of Power Journalism and Executive Directorate of the Contest with organizational and financial support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Energy, Rosatom State Corporation, National Association of Broadcasters, Joint-Stock Companies Gazprom and INTER RAO EES and other power industry companies and enterprises for 17 years already. This year more than 150 applications from creative groups and journalists, covering the problems of Russian TEKs, were filed for the participation in the contest.

The creative group of Balakovo NPP was awarded in two nominations: the staff of Balakovo nuclear plantХs press-service was awarded PEGAZ-2010 Contest Big Golden Medal and authorsХ group (Basov V. I., Terekhov J. L., Chuprin K. V., Kadochnikova G. M., Kazantseva I. A., Markova N. V. and Shubina I. V.) of the book titled ТBalakovo NPP: Quarter of the Nuclear CenturyУ was awarded the honorable diploma in the nomination ТPrize for the Best Book/Reference Book/ Collected WorksУ.
