This is one of the main events of the current year. Preparation for it has been conducted within several months. For ensuring installation of the turbine a preparatory work has been completed: installation of mortgage plates with preparation of their upper surface under installation of frames of the turbine and bearing support has been executed, dedusting of surfaces has been executed on a mark of +16,00 m. Earlier in a machine hall installation of regular lighting had been made. The total area of the shined room is 6000 sq.m.

Installation of the turbine is performed in the machine hall of the 1st power unit on a mark + 16,00 m by JSC ТMSU-90У forces with observance of all requirements of industrial safety.

In a zone of the installation cases of four cylinders of low pressure have been already delivered. A bit later the cylinder of high pressure will be established too.

The equipment for the turbine plant of capacity 1200 MWt for the power unit No. 1 of the Leningrad NPP-2 under construction was made by JSC ТPower MachinesУ.

The turbine steam K-1200-6,8/50 has length of 53 m, weight is over 2180 t. The turbine of this sort is used for transformation of heat energy to mechanical energy and serves as the drive for a turbogenerator.

The turbine represents the single-shaft five-cylinder aggregate consisting of the symmetric two-line cylinder of a high pressure and four symmetric two-line cylinders of low pressure (the constructive scheme ТbutterflyУ).

Planned date of termination of the turbine installation, according to the approved schedule of the first level of the power unit No. 1 construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 is on April 12, 2014.
