Leningrad NPP: wards of Nikolo-Solbinsk Convent visited Sosnovy Bor

Wards of Nikolo-Solbinsk Convent, which is located in Solba town of Yaroslavl region 95 km from Sergiev Posad, came to Leningrad nuclear plant with a fact-finding visit. 30 girls at the age from 7 to 17 are brought up in the orphanage at the convent.

With the support of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC and Leningrad nuclear plant a group of fosters including 18 girls together with archimandrite Ieremiy and nun Evphimia came to Sosnovy Bor to get acquainted with the Northern Capital and its townsХ history, see their sights and the white nights. Specialists of LNPP public information centre did their best to consider all the wishes of such unusual guests in their cultural program.

In the course of the three days of their living in St. Petersburg the little inhabitants of the orphanage together with their adult guides attended Peter and Paul Fortress, the Museum of Wax Figures, St. IsaacХs Cathedral, Alexander Nevsky Lavra, and Smolensk Cemetery, saw Petergof with its wonderful parks and fountains. Each of the days, filled with cultural and spiritual communication, was unforgettable and would remain in the childrenХs and adultsХ minds for a long time.
