Leningrad NPP: more than 14 bln kW? of electric power were generated in the first six months

During the first half year of 2011 Leningrad NPP generated 14.387 bln kWh of electric power (as of 01.07.2011), which exceeds the figure of the previous year for the same period (12.945 bln kW) by almost 1.5 bln.

Electricity production in June of the current year was equal to 2.189 bln kWh which also exceeds the generation in June of 2010 (2.075 bln kWh).

In all for the years of LNPP operation 833.034 bln kWh of electric power has been produced.

At present Leningrad NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 3 and 4 carrying the nominal capacity according to dispatch schedule. Schedule repairing works are being finished at power unit No. 2.

The radiation background in the area of Leningrad nuclear power plant location and in the adjacent territory corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural background values.
