Leningrad NPP: growth of production in monetary terms amounted to 4.2% for the first 9 months of 2015

The actual production volume of the Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant (branch of the JSC "Concern", Leningrad region) for the production of electricity and heat for the first 9 months of 2015 has amounted to 24 billion 391.67 million rubles or 104.2% of the corresponding figure for the same period in 2014 ( 23 billion 409.59 million rubles).

The growth of electricity production during the reporting period has amounted to 10.5% and for the production of thermal energy - remained at the level of 2014.

According to the report, the average number of staff working at the nuclear power plant has increased by 1.8% to 5072 people for the first 9 months of 2015, of which industrial personnel has amounted to 4782 people (for 9 months of 2014 - 4981 and 4913 respectively). Some increase in the number can bee associated with the procedure of transferring personnel from the Leningrad NPP-2 to the current state of the Leningrad nuclear power plant, this explanation has been given by the planning and economic department of the station.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Sosnovy Bor in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units with electric capacity of 1000 MWt each operate at the nuclear power plant.
