Leningrad NPP: Working Visit of Director for RPS Development Sergey Obozov
On May 11, 2012 Leningrad NPP was visited by the Director for Rosatom Production System (RPS) Development Sergey Obozov.
The main purpose of the visit Р inspection of the implementation of Rosatom Production System at such production units of the nuclear power plant as storage facilities, where there is organized the continuous flow system work with material values, and independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI), where there takes place breaking of fuel assembly, and their preparation to the safe long-term storage in metal-concrete containers.
The working group included the experts of RPS and Chief Engineer of the Moscow representative office of TENEX-Japan Co. company Suetsugu Kazuhide.
During the meeting in followup of the visit, Sergey Obozov and experts of Rosatom Nuclear Energy State Corporation noted positive momentum of the project implementation, and gave a range of recommendations to the specialists of Leningrad NPP. ТItХs important to clearly formulate and visualize the on-site goals, which face the staff, and solving of problems as well at each unit. The specificity of this production and project is that we should try to change a lot and at once. ItХs important to introduce one-two changes. As soon as these changes are performed, we will clearly see the next set of steps for moving forward without slowdown,У they noted.
They believe at the plant that sizing the possibilities and changing approaches to production and organization of shifts work, itХs possible to increase the production rate without changing of the designed technology and license terms that is one of the main targets of RPS along with the decrease of production costs.
One of the important conditions of successful implementation of any innovation Р understanding and willingness of the staff to accept changes, which are a measure of rationalization proposals coming from the direct effecters and participants of the production process. ТIn fact, concerning all the technical processes, the Leningrad NPP workers gave their own suggestions for improvement Р and this is the most valuable,У said Sergey Obozov.
ТSpecialists and employees of Leningrad nuclear power plant show interest to RPS introduction, put forward many suggestions, and the managementХs task is to help them to implement these suggestions.
