Leningrad NPP: TG-1 of the 1st power unit is connected to the grid

On January, 20, 2011 at 22:57 turbo generator No.1 of the 1 st power unit was connected to the grid at Leningrad NPP.

At present the first power unit capacity comprises 860 MW, and at 12:30 on January, 21, 2011 the unit is to be operated at nominal capacity.

Power units No. 2, 3 and 4 are operated at nominal level of capacity of 3,130 MW. No deviations in the limits and conditions of safe power unit operation have been detected.

The radiation background in the area of Leningrad NPP location and in the adjacent territory is not changed and corresponds to the natural environmental values that are typical of European Russia.
