Leningrad NPP was visited by young experts of "Diacont" JSC

Leningrad NPP was visited by young experts of "Diacont" JSC within the framework of technical tour. The company is engaged in development and implementation of technological and diagnostic equipment for the NPP. In particular, the Leningrad NPP was the first one to use the robot-technical long-distance diagnostic complex for measurement of telescopic joints of the LWGR tracts; the complex was developed by "Diacont" JSC.

Young engineers of the "Diacont" JSC visited the power unit of the Leningrad NPP, unit control panel, central and machine halls and have received general technical information about the Leningrad NPP. The questions of the young developers on nuclear, radiation and ecological safety, on handling the radioactive waste and SNF, on preparation of the NPP personnel have shown their professional interest. Young experts of the "Diacont" JSC have shown special interest to a ten-years operational experience of the Youth organization of the Leningrad NPP; they learnt from Pavel Gredasov, Head of the Youth organization of the Leningrad NPP, Leading Engineer of the reactor control of the Service for technical control of the NPP.

"Diacont" JSC youth just starts to create their organization, and experience young atomic scientists seemed to be useful to the participants of the visit Р the visitors of the meeting have exchanged their contacts and agreed to cooperate afterwards.

Olga Malets, Manager for HR motivation and development of the "Diacont" JSC and initiator of acquaintance of the young experts of two enterprises, made the first conclusions: ТThe visit was aimed at seeing the enterprise, for which our employees, including the young ones, design devices and instruments, to get acquainted with the youth of the Leningrad NPP, and to arrange joint long-term plans with them. We also solved a problems set by the management of our enterprise when they sent the youth delegation to the Leningrad NPP, - development and motivation of young experts. We had a chance to communicate with the same young, clever and talented experts of the Leningrad NPP. I believe that cooperation in the scientific sphere can become the most interesting one. Our experts could expand the borders of their knowledge in the area they work in, and take out their perspective designs to the expert level. The meeting has been organized at high professional level as it is customary for the Leningrad NPP, and we are ready to meet the delegation from the Leningrad NPP with their reciprocal visitУ.

Leningrad NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located on the bank of the Gulf of Finland in Sosnovy Bor city, 80 km westward from Saint Petersburg. LNPP was the first in the country to operate RBMK-1000 reactors (graphite-uranium pressure-tube thermal reactors). The NPP operates 4 power units with electric capacity of 1,000 MW each.
