Leningrad NPP team of veterans in volleyball has taken the first prize in the open championship

Leningrad NPP team of veterans in volleyball took the first prize in the open competition among the teams of the men older than 50, devoted to the Victory Day. The traditional tournament was held on May 8 in Petergof city and was devoted to the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

Six teams: of St. Petersburg, Petergof, Bolshaya Izhora, Lomonosov and two teams of Leningrad NPP (captains A. F. Markovsky (SB) and V. I. Prokofiev (RC) took part in the competition. The second LNPP team lost to Lomonosov football players in the match for the third prize and became the forth.

Atomists S. P. Bekrenev (RC), A. F. Markovsky (SB), S. S. Romanov (RC), V. I. Sidorov (E.C.), and also their teammates from our city A. V. Bychkov, V. G. Korotaev, A. V. Kraf and R. S. Sadaev played for the team of the championship winners. Linking Renat Sadaev got the title of the championship best player for his beautiful and effective playing.

Head of Petergof City M. I. Baryshnikov gave the players certificates and prizes: ТIn the final game our city team saw eye to eye with LNPP. And again the atomists defended us Тin one gateУ 3:0, though we had pulled up the team of the strongest veteransУ.

On May 2,1 the championship devoted to the 300th anniversary of the city will be held in Lomonosov.
