Leningrad NPP Operates Power Unit Number 3 at Capacity Corresponding to Scheduled Capacity Rate

On April 16, 2012 at 08.58 pm the turbogenerating set number 6 of the third power unit of Leningrad NPP has been restarted after the completion of the gasket renewal of one of the heat-exchange systems. TG-5 has been restarted on April 17 at 04.27 am.

At the present time the No.3 power unitХs capacity amounts to 700 MW that corresponds to the scheduled capacity rate.

The No.1 and No.2 power units operate at a nominal capacity. The total capacity of all the three power units makes up 2520 MW.

The unit number 4 from April 1 of the current year has been in scheduled outage according to the 2012-maintenance campaign schedule.

 The radiation background in the area of Leningrad nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power unitsХ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
