On June 30, 2011 a solemn awarding of diplomas to the graduates of Kursk State Polytechnic College, studying at the faculty of ТNuclear Electric Plants and UnitsУ in Kurchatov branch of the Institute was held in the Public Information Centre of Kursk NPP.

Opening the event, Director of Kursk State Polytechnic College Olga Morozova noted: ТToday we are summarizing the results of the several years of studentsХ studies at the college. The way the present graduates used to go was not simple and sometimes even thorny. Not everyone managed to stand the serious test of studies, but the strongest, and they are the majority, are here. And the knowledge of graduates-2011 was highly estimated. A great merit belongs to Kursk NPP: owing to the plant management interest and concern our students have a wonderful and rare opportunity of undergoing practical training in the enterprise departments and receive a priceless experience. For that Kursk nuclear plant management should be given thanks to! And there is a special thanks to the management of the Public Information Centre which became an educational site for our studentsУ.

The importance of Kursk State Polytechnic College for both Kursk NPP and the nuclear power industry on the whole was emphasized by First Deputy Director of the plant Vyacheslav Fedyukin.

ТKursk State Polytechnic College is a connecting link between the students Р future nuclear scientists and Kursk nuclear power plantУ, he said. ТAt present many of the college graduates are working at the enterprise and have showed themselves to good advantage. And they undergo their practical training in the main departments of the plant and under the guidance of experienced teachers, that beyond all doubt allows them solidify their knowledge and find the correct field of their future activityУ.

Chairman of the State Professional Licensing Board, Head of Kursk NPP educational and training centre Igor Bondaryov awarded honorary certificate of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC for the participation in the corporate student contest ТThe Knowledge of Young Nuclear Scientists to the Nuclear PlantsУ to Vladimir Zhukov, Artyom Madyudin, Yekaterina Pereverzeva, Rodion Rassolov and Evgeny Strilevsky.

The tutors Р Kursk NPP employees Galina Efremova, Vladimir Rukhlyadev and Gennady Shulgin and the nuclear power industry veterans Evgeny Kosarezov, Anatoly Burkov and Vladimir Vasenin addressed the graduates with a farewell word.
