On April 23, 2012 according to the submitted request, the maintenance of the unit 2 of Kursk NPP was extended due to reparation of the control line.  

The power unit was stopped on April 15 of the current year for the scheduled on-line maintenance.

Currently, Kursk NPP operates units 3 and 4. They operate at the capacity established by the dispatch schedule. Since April 3 of the current year, the unit 1 has been being under the scheduled midlife repair.

The radiation background at the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory corresponds to the level of power unitsХ normal operation and does not exceed the natural environmental values.
