Kola NPP: ТNuclear regatta-2011У is over with a victory of Rostovites

On May 29, 2011 there was summed up the third Open tournament of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC on boating.


Traditionally competitions are held at the place of merge of two polar rivers Kitsa and Kola, 40 km from Murmansk, near railway station Loparskaya. This year they were held from May, 26 till May, 29. 


The teams of Kursk, Rostov, Beloyarsk and Balakovo NPP represented the atomic engineering in the tournament. The team of the Leningrad NPP-1 and the Leningrad NPP-2 presented the city of Sosnovyi Bor. Participants of the boating club ТVODYANOYУ presented the Kola NPP.


The sportsmen-amateurs from Zaozersk, national team of the city of Murmansk, club "Horizon" from Kovdar, Monchegorsk water-tourists from clubs of ТYumaУ and ТSariolaУ, sportsmen from ТMurmansk thermal power stationУ JSC and Petrozavodsk national team have joined the atomic scientist in the struggle for leadership. Total 14 commands have taken part in the competitions.


The program ТNuclear regattaУ included competitions on two-and four-seater catamarans, competitions on water rescue operations, team passage of the technical line and a song competition. For the first time this year the program included command race-rally for a distance of 20 km, where several teams participated simultaneously.


Following the results of the competitions, the team of the Rostov NPP took the first place in the tournament, the second place was won by of Sosnovyi Bor, the third place cup was taken away by the sportsmen of the Kursk NPP. The command of the Kola NPP has taken the fourth place.
