Kola NPP: schoolchildren of Murmansk region have received target orders to higher educational establishments

On June 1, 2011 the orders to the leading technical higher educational establishments of Moscow and St. Petersburg according to the program of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC target set were handed over in Kola NPP public information centre.

The program is aimed at training of technical specialists for the nuclear branch. 58 school graduates from Apatity, Kandalaksha, Kovdor, Monchegorsk, Murmansk and Polyarnye Zori Cities received the orders.

The selection of schoolchildren, who received the target orders, was held in 2010. The NPP Championship gathered 200 schoolchildren from Murmansk region in gymnasium No. 1 of Polyarnye Zori City and revealed the best from them.

The list of the higher educational establishments and the study branches presented for the target set is changed annually; the quantity of the orders delivered is permanently increased as well. This year the State Polytechnic University of St. Petersburg became the most popular educational establishment for the school leavers and the specialties of nuclear industry became the most demanded branch.

ТReceiving of a target order is a worthy continuation of your education, but not your entrance to a higher educational establishment is the main point, but your hard work during the five years that is ahead of you as young specialists. This year we have gathered pupils from all the region and we hope they will return to our nuclear industryУ, Kola NPP Deputy Director Igor Kutuzov noted.

Timely information about the radiation environment near Russian NPPs and other objects of the nuclear industry is available in the site www.russianatom.ru.
