Kola NPP: Power unit No. 4 is connected to the grid

On January, 23 at 12:39 power unit No. 4 of Kola NPP wasconnected to the grid.

Currently the plant operates all the 4 power units, carrying the total capacity of 1,543 ?W that corresponds to the dispatch schedule.

The radiation background in the area of Kola NPP location and in a 30 km control area does not differ from the natural environmental values.

Kola NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located 200 km to the south of Murmansk on the bank of Lake Imandra. It produces about 60% of the power of Murmansk region. The plant operates 4 power units with VVER-type reactors. Each reactor has capacity of 440 mW. Kola NPP supplies power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
