Kola NPP: More Than 250 Residents of Polyarnye Zori Visit Artistic Creation Picture-Show of PlantХs Employees

For the first week of work, more than 250 residents of the city Polyarnye Zori have visited the artistic creation picture-show of Kola NPP employees, timed to the 20th anniversary of Rosenergoatom Concern and 39th year of the first power unit start-up at the plant.

17 authors introduced their creative works to the guests of the picture-show. The presented works have been executed in various techniques, such as quilling, jewelry made of plastic, fulling, woolen painting, glass painting, floristics, embroidery, knitting, etc.

The first visitors of the picture-show were school students of the city, which spent their holidays in school camps. The children enthusiastically appreciated the unique subjects of artistic creation, based on fantasy of the transpolar nuclear power plantХs workers.

ТThe picture-show is a unique opportunity to familiarize the residents of the city with a variety of interests and hobbies of Kola NPP employees and their family members. The picture-show demonstrates new works of art of atomic masters, already known in the city,У said Acting Head of the Public Information Centre of Kola NPP, Andrey Verevkin.

The picture-show will continue its work at the Information Centre till July 26. Admission is free.



Kola NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located 200 km to the south of Murmansk on the bank of Lake Imandra. It produces about 60% of electricity of Murmansk region. Currently, the plant operates 4 power units with VVER-type reactors. Each reactor has capacity of 440 MW. Kola NPP supplies power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
