Kola NPP: Atom-ZhKKh has become a new managing company in Polyarnye Zori City

The results of Polyarnye Zori citizens meetings on new managing company election were summed up on March 31, 2011. Majority of votes were given in favor of Atom-ZhKKh. Polyarnue Zori. Unexceptionally all residential units citizens voted in favor of this managing company. More than 90 % of Polyarnye Zori citizens preferred Atom-ZhKKh.

Atom-ZhKKh. Polyarnue Zori, the new managing company, has been established by Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, which understands the volume of responsibility for the situation in the city utilities. Such decision was made in connection with great problems related to city heating during current heating season and failure to act on the part of Nord-Service Managing Company.

Atom-ZhKKh. Polyarnue Zori, the new managing company, will proceed to management of the city residential properties from May 1 of the current year.

ТHaving voted for Atom-ZhKKh. Polyarnue Zori, the citizens expressed their confidence in this managing companyУ, Kola NPP Director Vasily Omelchuk noted. He thanked citizens for the taken step. ТSuch act says about Polyarnye Zori citizensХ consciousness and active citizenship. The citizens decided not to suffer from the municipal despotism and made the right decision,У he underlined.

Kola NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is located 200 km to the south of Murmansk on the bank of Lake Imandra. Power unit No.1 of Kola NPP was commissioned in 1973. Currently, the plant operates 4 power units with VVER-type reactors. Each reactor has capacity of 440 mW. Kola NPP supplies power for Murmansk region and Karelia.
