Kola NPP scheduled repair has been started at power unit No. 1

On June 06 at 2:55 a.m. power unit No. 1 of Kola NPP was shut down for scheduled repair.

At present the plant operates power unit Nos. 2 and 4. In accordance with the dispatch schedule the plant loading on 06.06.2011 was equal to 883 MW.

After the first power unit is repaired the repair of power unit No. 4 will start in July and repair of power unit No. 2 will start in September. Total duration of all the four Kola NPP power unitsХ schedule preventive repair (SPR) will be equal to 200 days. The repairing campaign of 2011 is to be completed in October.

The radiation background at Kola NPP and in the area of its location does not exceed the natural environmental values.
