In 2013 the winner of the tender on a rank "The best division of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant on culture of safety" has become the reactor shop No. 1. Such is the decision of members of a contest committee of the entity which is headed by chief engineer KLNAES Victor Sushko. The memorable signs "For Commitment to Culture of Safety" were handed over to leaders of tender on August 12.

The tender organized for the purpose of broad involvement of staff of divisions in process of enhancement of culture of safety, took place in two stages. Criteria by which winners on each of them were determined, considered events in nuclear power plant work, data on labor protection and fire safety in division, results of external checks and inspections and some other factors, including development of positive practice by division.

By results of the first stage of the tender winners in the groups became: 1 group Р reactor shop-1; The 2nd group Р a by-product recovery department; The 3rd group Р deactivation shop; The 4th group Р department of information and communication technologies.  By the results of the two stages of the tender the first place is awarded to RTs-1 collective.

"To applicants for absolute leadership in tender, Р noted during handing over the memorable signs the chief engineer of the Kalininskaya nuclear power plant Victor Sushko, Р it was necessary to show the high achievements on a certain set of criteria. Among them Р creation in collective of the atmosphere of trust between the head and the subordinate personnel; carrying out discussions with the personnel on culture of safety and a human factor for a clear understanding of standards/requirements for CB".

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
