On August 16, 2013 at 22:20 there was the ignition of the construction woods on the building of electrotechnical devices of the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant under construction.

The Novovoronezh ignition was extinguished at 23.50 by forces of fire-fighting crews of a fire brigade No. 14 which protects the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant and city No. 27.

Death and injuries of people rate were not allowed.

The distance from operating blocks of the Novovoronezhskaya NPP to the Novovoronezhskaya NPP-2, which is under construction, blocks makes 1,5 km. There is no threat of fire distribution.

The reason of the ignition is being established.

There is no change of operating power units mode of the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant.

Power units No. 3, 4 and 5 of the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant are working in the set mode at the moment.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
