Flashmob as a gift: the Rostov NPP young nuclear scientists held a rally for the Day of Nuclear Worker

On September 26, the Rostov NPP young nuclear scientists together with students from the VITI NIYaU MEPhI organized a flashmob in the city center. The action was timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of the atomic energy in Russia and the Day of the nuclear industry.

120 people on the ground in front of the Rostov NPP information center formed the symbolic figure of the atom. Each participant of the flash mob held in his hand a balloon one of the colors of the Russian tricolor. At the end of the action the youth choir shouted greetings on the occasion.

At the same time such an action was held in Rostov-on-Don, and it was attended by 150 students of the Don State Technical University. With the construction of balloons, they "built" the logo of the 60th anniversary of Atomic Energy in Russia. Another installation was dedicated to the upcoming launch of the Rostov NPP third unit. It was a composition of green balloons with the words "the unit 3 is the green light." After the command "Start!" balloons were released into the air.

The Rostovskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. At nuclear station two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt are operated. The power unit No. 1 is put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 Р in December, 2010.
