On April 9, 2012 at 11.46 pm the turbogenerating set TG-12 of the power unit No.4 of Novovoronezh NPP was hooked up. On April 10 at 12.50 am the power unit No.4 increased its capacity to 100 % capacity level.

At present, Novovoronezh NPP operates the power units No.3, 4 and 5 in a given mode. There are no violations of dose limits and conditions of safe operation of the power units.

 The radiation background on the area of the nuclear power plant is normal. Average values of radiation background in settlements of the 30-km zone around Novovoronezh NPP did not change and match the level of natural background values typical for the Central European part of Russia.
