Beloyarsk NPP has got a certificate of safety
On April 4, 2012 Nikolay Sorokin, a Deputy General Director Р General Inspector of Rosenergoatom Concern, and Pavel Medvedev, a Head of the Concern Inspection Office for NPP safety, arrived with a business visit to Beloyarsk NPP.
Nikolay Sorokin handed to the Acting Director of Beloyarsk NPP, represented by Yuriy Nosov, a ТCertificate of conformity of labour safety works (a certificate of safety)У, issued by the Ministry of Public Healthcare and Social Development of RF, the central body of certification system for labour safety in organizations.
The Concern representatives took part in a weekly operational meeting of the Director of Beloyarsk NPP with heads of divisions.
Nikolay Sorokin informed the participants about the state of labour safety at NPPs of Russia. Pavel Medvedev provided the front office of Beloyarsk NPP with the information on targets and procedures of the forthcoming comprehensive inspection of safety state of Beloyarsk NPP, as well as the formation and implementation of new methodological approaches on safety inspections of NPPs.
In accordance with the schedule of inspections of nuclear power plants for 2012, adopted on December 15, 2011 by the General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, a comprehensive inspection of safety state of Beloyarsk NPP is scheduled for the period of 16 - 20 April, 2012.
Beloyarsk NPP was commissioned in April 1964. ItХs the first nuclear power plant of the largest nuclear power engineering of the country and the only one with different operating reactors at the same plant. The first Beloyarsk NPP power units with the thermal reactors of AMB-100 and AMB-200 have been stopped due to resource exhaustion. The power unit with BN-600 fast neutron reactor of industrial power level nowadays operates as the unique in the world. The power unit with BN-800 fast neutron reactor is under construction now. The fast neutron power units are designed to significantly expand the fuel base of the nuclear power engineering and minimize RAW by means of closed NFC management.
