The Victory Day was solemnly celebrated at Balakovo nuclear plant by a large prepared festival program. It started on May 6 with the participation in a teleconference bridge which got together all the Russian NPPs and the central office of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The public information centre of the plant presented a video clip ТGreat-grandchildren of the Great VictoryУ to the teleconference bridge participants Р veterans, Heads of the Central Office and the plants, young specialists and trade union assets.

On May 7, the atomists congratulated the inhabitants of Natalyino municipal formation, where the nuclear plant is located, on the great holiday. The Deputy of Balakovo municipal district Assembly Р Director of Balakovo NPP Viktor Ignatov appealed to the veterans with warm words in the cultural centre of Natalyino village: ТOur veterans are the most sacred thing we have. Owing to your courage and fortitude, today we are living under peaceful skies, in a free country, bring up children and enjoy spring. Thank you for having maintained our native country!У

Viktor Igorevich handed in flowers and envelopes with material support to the six Natalyino veterans. The NPP director also addressed many kind words to the 24 worthy veteransХ heritors Р the participants of local military conflicts, living in the village. Together with the five young mothers of Natalyino, recently presenting the country with small citizens, they were given presents as well. The festival concert of the creative groups of the NPP trade committee Antares cultural centre became a wonderful addition to it.

On May 9, a large column of Balakovo NPP workers and their family members took part in a solemn meeting in the city Alley of Glory and in the ceremony of wraths laying to the obelisk of Balakovo citizens died in the years of the Great Patriotic War. The Great Patriotic War participants Р former Balakovo NPP workers - could not take part in this festive procession due to their declining years. But they were not left without the native enterpriseХs attention.

The celebration of the Victory Day was completed in the square near the nuclear plant public information centre. Here a large festival concert called ТVictory SpringУ, where Antares amateur actors again demonstrated their talents, was organized for the citizens. A real field kitchen, where everyone could taste excellent soldierХs cereal, was organized next to a large stage reminding of a brightly decorated deck of Volga motorship.
