Balakovo Nuclear Engineers Open New Season of Mind Games
On May 18, 2012 the Public Information Centre of Balakovo NPP hosted an open tournament on ТBrain-RingУ for the prizes of the trade union committee of the nuclear power plant.
This game, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Rosenergoatom Concern, opened a regular season of mind games at Balakovo NPP. It was traditionally attended by the teams of the thermal instrumentation and control shop, reactor shop, chemical shop, ventilation shop, electric shop, security service and Konsist OS. But this time, to participate in the first game of the season, except the nuclear engineers, there have been invited the teams of intellectuals from the city grammar school No.2 and Balakovo branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (the winners of the city tournament on ТBrain-RingУ among universities).
The intellectual tournament has lasted for more than three hours. 25 fights came off with more than a hundred of questions. As a result of the intense competition of minds, the teams of the grammar school students, ТacademiciansУ, ventilation shop and the thermal instrumentation and control shop reached the final. The teams played once among each other.
The debutants of the atomic tournament - the students of Balakovo branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Р have become the undisputed leaders of the mind competition. The second place was won by the team of the thermal instrumentation and control shop, and the third prize went to the grammar school students.

The prizewinners received certificates and cash awards from the trade union committee of the nuclear power plant. A special prize went to the most productive player of the ТBrain-RingУ. This title was given to the senior engineer for operation of ventilation systems and plumbing equipment of the ventilation shop of Balakovo NPP Valeriy Semenov, who provided his team with 12 correct answers, which was an individual record of the evening.
