Balakovo NPP: Target of June is Realized by 104,6 %

Balakovo NPP has hit its planned task of June, 2012, by 104,6 %. In June the plant generated 2,882 billion kWh of electricity.

126,922 million kWh was produced in excess of the plan.

The installed capacity utilization factor (ICUF) has made up 100,06 %.

The plant operates four power units.

Balakovo NPP in June operated safely and reliably.

Balakovo NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern. The plant is situated on the left bank of Saratov reservoir, 10 km north-east of Balakovo of the Saratov region. The plant has four power units with the upgraded reactors VVER-1000 (modification of B-320) with the installed electric capacity 1,000 MW each. The first unit was commissioned in 1985, second Р in 1987, third Р in 1988 and fourth Р in 1994. Balakovo NPP refers to a number of the largest and modern enterprises of the power engineering of Russia providing a quarter of the production of electricity to Volga Federal District. Its electricity reliably provides the consumers of the Volga region, Centre, Ural and Siberia.
