Balakovo NPP: Best Pupils and Students Have Been Awarded at Information Centre

Public Information Centre of Balakovo NPP has awarded the best pupils and students of the city, who had shown the best results at the Academic Competition of Nuclear Power Plants, and the studentsХ professional knowledge competition Sharing of Knowledge of Young Nuclear Scientists with Nuclear Power Plants.

As Head of PIC Yuri Terekhov noted in his greetings, ТThe corporate policy is aimed at dynamic attracting to the field the most competent and advanced part of the youth, capable for technological creativity and innovative thinking, and interest in nuclear power engineering and high technology issues.У

At the Academic Competition of Nuclear Power Plants, which took place in physics and mathematics, among Balakovo citizens there were 37 prize winners and 31 winner. Some of them showed the best result in two subjects at once, they were: Mikhail Khokhlov (School No.16), Peter Mayorov, Vasiliy Zhadayev, Lyudmila Maslennikova and Tatiana Fomina (all are lyceum No.1 pupils).
Among the students, who participated in the competition of the Concern, the prize winners became five of them, and the winner was Sergey Traktin (Balakovo Polytechnic College). Those, who showed the best results, will be assisted by the nuclear power plant in entering the top-rank institutions of higher education of the country.

 This support is important for children as many of them expressed a desire to become nuclear power engineers. For example, Ilya Shilin, a pupil of No.1 lyceum, who became a winner of the Concern Academic Competition in mathematics, told ТI took part in the academic competition, because I consider nuclear power engineering to be one of the prosperous branches in Russia, and would like to link my future with it.У
