Beyond repair at the Leningrad NPP power unit ?2, complete overhaul of the generator ?4 is being done.

In the course of these repair works the output of the generator rotor with removal of retaining rings was performed. This operation is done every 8 years and it is technologically complex and challenging, as the weight of the turbine of the generator rotor is 65 tons and the operation is performed with a very small air gap near stator winding, which is sensitive to mechanical damages.

Also during the renovation overhaul of two valves of multiple forced circulation circuit (MCC) and overhaul of the turbine of high pressure cylinder ?4 were carried out.

Along with the main production works on the turbogenerator ?4 of the LNPP power unit ?2, the staff of the "Lenatomenergoremont" optimized generator stator slots. Implementation of these activities is not part of the plan, but thanks to well-coordinated teamwork and responsibility of employees of the JSC "Atomenergoremont" additional works did not affect the quality and timing of the repair.
