On May 19, 2011, a working meeting devoted to the analyses and the results summary of the headquarter exercise, organized the day before, was held at Leningrad NPP.

According to the legend of the exercise, on that day LNPP was transferred to the war operation mode, and all the actions of the headquarter exercise participants were being developed due to the Plan of Civil Defense and the Plan of Mobilization.

After the headquarters alarm gathering at the plant, the emergency response actions enclosed control room, non-standard rescue formations, emergency services and connection services were put on an alert, the territory patrolling was enhanced.

The Air alert was received by means of the civil defense reporting system, and after that the events on the plant personnel sheltering in LNPP protection constructions of first and second priorities were performed.

Also, the actions on extinction of a conventional fire were being trained during the fire. Simultaneously the actions of the emergency services on the release of the injured from under falling homes and on the rendering first aid to them were being trained as well.

On the other event Р conventional accident at a flow passage Р they put into operation reserve pump station No. 1 of the plant water supply department and eliminated a flow passage breakup.

In the course of the training, the services of radiation and chemical scouting performed a constant monitoring of the environment. The radiation monitoring was actuated in the control agencies, formations and structural subdivisions. The shelters and canteens were conventionally filled with foodstuff for 5 and 7 days, respectively.

Half an hour after the head-quarter exercise had began, the work of the committee on evacuation, that dealt with the registration and dispatch to the countryside of the nuclear plant employees, who had been brought to the city collective evacuation office from the temporary plant shelters, was developed.

Besides, the inspection of the enclosed management room in Sosnovy Bor city and in the countryside, in particular in Volosovo city of Leningrad region, was held in the process of the headquarter exercise.

Totally, about 400 people and 11 units of special equipment, and the forces of the saving service ТLiquidation of Oil and Petroleum Products Emergency SpillУ from Vyborg city of Leningrad region were involved in the training.

The whole stages of the plant transfer to the war operation mode management and the training of non-standard formationХs actions were reported to the head-quarter exercise Leader Р LNPP Director Vladimir Pereguda and to the administration of the municipal formation.

Summarizing the results, headquarter exercise Leader Vladimir Pereguda noted: ТIn my opinion, the head-quarter exercise was a success. Of course, there are some remarks, but they are insignificant. Upon the whole I give a good markУ. The question of the purchase of an additional package of radio communication is among other ones planned for consideration, because the wire connection may interrupt, and the mobile one disappears in the conditions of the work under shelters. Also V. I. Pereguda noted that some questions are necessary to be solved together with the city administration. For example, provision of other ways of evacuation apart from automobile one Р railway, water, pedestrian ways.

During the headquarter exercise Leningrad nuclear plant was operating in a standard mode without suspending its basic production activity.
