Russian NPPs increased power generation by almost 1.41% over 11 months of 2022

Russian nuclear power plants (branches of Rosenergoatom, the Electric Power Division of the State Corporation Rosatom) increased power generation by 1.41% over the eleven months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

Generation from January to November amounted to more than 204.2 billion kilowatt-hours, or 103.06% of the balance target of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia. Therefore, since the beginning of the year, more than 6 billion kWh have been generated in excess of the FAS balance target (as of December 1, 2022).

The work of all Russian NPPs for eleven months of this year made it possible to prevent emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere in the amount of about 100 million tons of CO2 equivalent. In November generation is about 20.6 billion kilowatt-hours of power (as of 01.12.2022).

The share of power generation by nuclear power plants in Russia is about 20%.
