“Rosenergoatom Concern” JSC takes part in the International Forum «ATOMEXPO-2011»

“Rosenergoatom Concern” JSC takes part in the International Forum «ATOMEXPO-2011» which was opened in Moscow on June 6, 2011.


The International Congress devoted to discussion of pressing questions of the further dynamical development of nuclear-power engineering became the central event of the Forum organized by State Corporation Rosatom.


Among the visitors and participants of the Congress are: Sergey Kirienko, Director General, Rosatom; Steven Chu, US Secretary of Energy; Bernard Bigot, Chairman of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission; John Ritch, Director General, World Nuclear Association; Takuya Hattori, President, Japan Atomic Industrial Forum; Josef Ronaky, Director General, Hungarian Atomic Energy Authority; Gerald W. Grandey, Chief Executive Officer, Cameco Corporation; Luc Oursel, Chief Operating Officer in charge of International, Marketing and Projects Of AREVA; John K. Welch, President and CEO, USEC; Patrick Ledermann, Vice President, Alstom Power; Chairman of the Korean agency on advancement of nuclear power Ree Gia Hwan;  as well as  representatives of public authorities, heads and experts of the companies of the nuclear industry, enterprises-partners, foreign experts - about 1200 delegates, including more than 300 foreign participants.


Speaking to the delegates in the round-table sessions within the framework of the Congress, from the part of "Rosenergoatom Concern " were: Alexander Krupskiy, Deputy Director for HR Management, Social and Administrative Issues, Rosenergoatom Concern JSC (“Russian experience and effective practices of target-oriented advanced training of the nuclear power infrastructure personnel of nuclear newcomers”); Oleg Chernikov, Deputy Director for Production and NPP Operation, Rosenergoatom Concern JSC (“Safety assessment and ways for improvement of Russian NPP resistance to abnormal external events”). 


Vladimir Asmolov, First Deputy Director General, Rosenergoatom Concern was the moderator of the round-table session: “Stability of current reactors to natural disasters. Fukushima lessons.” Sergey Kirienko, Head of «Rosatom» State Corporation, opened the round-table session. The round-table sessions with participation of representatives of the Russian and foreign mass-media include discussion in the form of all-round expert discussion of the most urgent topics for nuclear-power engineering. Laurent Stricker, Chairman, WANO has also made a report during the round-table session. TV channel «Russia 24» arranged for live transmission of the “round-table session”.


There is also held a specialized exhibition of the enterprises of the nuclear industry and allied industries within the framework.
Closing of the International Forum «ATOMEXPO-2011» will take place on June 8, 2011.

«ATOMEXPO-2011» Forum is aimed at the development of cooperation of the foreign and Russian organizations during designing, construction and operation of the nuclear power plants. The organizer of the event is the State Corporation for Atomic Energy «Rosatom».


The business program of the Forum, which is the basic nuclear event in Russia, includes all the complex of pressing issue concerning development of nuclear power engineering. Their discussion will be held with wide participation of representatives of top management of the companies-leaders of the world branch market, leading experts, heads and experts of the enterprises of the allied industries.
