The Kalininskaya NPP: power unit №1 restarted after scheduled maintenance

Power unit №1 of the Kalininskaya NPP was restarted after planned medium repairs on May 13, 2015 at 18:00. The power unit is operating in accordance with a dispatch schedule at the moment.

Among the major works, which were held at the power unit, were repair of a high-pressure cylinder with modernization; replacement of high pressure heaters from PVD 6-7 to PVD-K; medium repair of the generator; refueling.

Works were performed by the maintenance and engineering staff of the station and representatives of contractors.

There are three power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP. Power unit №4 is being renovated. The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
