Complex for working out skills of working at high altitudes was designed meeting requirements of new "Regulation on labor protection when working at height" and equipped with everything necessary for practical development of safe methods of work.

The equipment of training classes includes scaffolding, tower-tour, various types of stairs similar to equipment used at the nuclear power plant. Cabinet was equipped with new safety systems, rescue and evacuation systems.

"Operational staff need to work out algorithm of correct admission of personnel, who performe work at high altitudes, it is necessary to monitor presence of personal protective equipment (PPE) and thus ensure safety of both people and production process as a whole. Tasks of repair personnel  include correct use of PPE in different conditions, correct organization of works at height," - commented Elena Meshalkina, leading instructor of the ETD KNPP.

In accordance with the approved plan of activities for implementation of the "Rules on occupational safety when working at heights" training for operational staff of the station in the new training complex was carried out in July, training for repair staff will begin in November this year.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
