The Kalinin NPP: power unit №3 works at nominal capacity

The power unit №3 of the Kalinin NPP started to work on nominal capacity after completion of repairs on August 12, 2015.

Plugging of the power unit №3 into network was held on the previous day, August 11, 2015 at 15:00. Recall, the unit was shut down by technological protection equipment of a turbine on August 8. Currently, it is working in accordance with the dispatch schedule.

There are four power units in work at the Kalininskaya NPP at the moment. Its collective capacity is 4175 MW.

The radiation background corresponds to level of normal operation of power units, which doesn't exceed natural background values.

The Kalininskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located in the north of the Tver region in the Udomelskiy area. There are four power units with water-cooled power reactors (VVER-1000) with installed capacity of 1000 MW each in the structure of the Kalininskaya nuclear power station.
