The Information Center of the Balakovo NPP hosted a regional seminar with the participation of teachers of history and social educational institutions at Balakovo municipal district on the theme "The development of strategy of historical and social science school education" on August 26, 2015.

It is a traditional meeting, which is held on the eve of the new school year, long-term cooperation in the framework of the nuclear power plant with educational institutions. However, this time the teachers had a unique opportunity not only to discuss the strategic issues of the development of school education, but also to see the updated Information Center of the Balakovo NPP. After a long renovation, it reopened its doors to residents and visitors.

"The updated Center will find new forms of cooperation with educational institutions. For example, now visitors may pass a computer game to learn about the nuclear reaction with a unique multi-table format, get more information about the Russian energy sector. A new conference hall has opportunity to see training and education movies in 3D", - noted in her welcoming remarks the Acting Head of Information and Public Relations Centre of the Balakovo NPP Natalia Bondarenko.

In addition, she provided information on the outcome of the Balakovo NPP in 2014 and the implementation of scientific and educational and vocational guidance projects to improve the intellectual level of young people as human resources capacity of the nuclear industry.

After the seminar participants heard all the reports, had a media preview in 3D program and a tour around the Center.

"The value of the Information Center of the Balakovo NPP for our city and the younger generation is difficult to overestimate. Here you can get a huge amount of useful information about nuclear power. And after the center had been upgraded, I would like to take my children here again. The ability to take advantage of new interactive technologies for children is very important. They grow up in the computer space and this language will be more accessible for them", - the Head of the municipal methodical association of history teachers Tatiana Zolotarev said.
