The specialists of the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" - branch of the JSC "Atomenergoremont" performed work, which is unique for the Balakovo NPP, on July 31, 2015.

During repair of the Balakovo NPP power unit №2 generator stator TVV-1000 was dismantled.

The stator, which weight together with auxiliary structures is more than 400 tonnes, is the first thing to be replaced. Cranes with a high load capacity will be used for moving the unit.

There are still a lot of unique works that employees of the "Atomenergoremont" will perform almost manually installing a new stator, moving and installation for permanent storage of spent stator.

This project of works for replacement the generator stator was completely developed by the "Balakovoatomenergoremont" - a branch of the JSC "Atomenergoremont".

All works for replacement the stator will be completed by the end of overhaul on the power unit №2 of the Balakovo NPP and learned lessons will be applied in carrying out similar workz at other nuclear power plants in Russia.
