A modern basketball court will be built in the Kalinin NPP sports and recreation complex this fall with the support of the Rosenergoatom Concern's Center for Modern Sports Technologies.

The new facility will be equipped with a specialized coating that can withstand temperature drops from -50°C to + 50°C, changing rooms, scoreboards, spectator stands, and artificial lighting. The drainage system will allow playing immediately after rain without compromising the coverage.

“Udomlya is famous for its basketball traditions, so the presence of a modern base is important and decisive for sportsmen,” said Anna Degtyareva, the head of FOSC. “The new site will be the best in the Tver region”.

The arrangement of the concrete base and the drainage system will be carried out by an Udomlya contractor, while the installation of the playing cover, the installation of sports equipment and stands will be carried out by the specialists of the Center for Modern Sports Technologies of Rosenergoatom.

The new sports facility will allow training and competitions in the open air in the most comfortable conditions from May to October.

The mini-stadium is being built as part of the "Basketball Planet - Orange Atom" social and sports project of the Rosenergoatom Center for Modern Sports Technologies. This project started in nuclear cities with the aim of promoting and developing mass sports six years ago.
