The first heavy-duty transformer was received for the first unit of the Leningrad NPP-2

Single-phase step-up transformer block ORDTS-533000/330-U1 capacity 533 MW wasenrolled for the first power unit of the Leningrad NPP-2. It was designed and manufactured by the JSC "Electrozavod" (Moscow).

In four transformers (one spare), weighing 297 tons each, will be delivered for the first unit.
 
Heavy duty single-phase transformers for the first power unit will arrive at the production site in the next two months. Installation of the equipment is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2014. All work are carried out by specialists of JSC "SAM".

 The transformer is designed to convert and issue generated by turboset electricity to the grid. These units with improved design and technical specifications are related to the power equipment of the new generation.

Construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 is a part of a long-term program of activities of the State Corporation "Rosatom". Customer-developer of the project is the JSC "Rosenergoatom".

The general contractor for the project is JSC "AEP".

General subcontractor is JSC "Concern Titan-2".

General designer is JSC "ATOMPROEKT."

On February 12, 2010 the Technical Supervisory Authority issued a license (? GN 02-101-2277) for the construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power unit ?1 installation (valid - till 31.03.2018) and the license (? GN 02-101-2276) on construction of the Leningrad NPP-2 power unit ?2 (valid - till 07.14.2019).
