The Rostov NPP: about 500 participants from nine countries gathered at bard festival "Strings of Soul"

The XVII International Festival of author's song "Strings of Soul", which has the Rostov nuclear power plant s its a co-founder for many years, was held during three days, from 18 to 20 June, on the banks of the Don.

The management and staff of the Rostov NPP took an active part at the stage of preparation for the festival joining the organizing committee. Financial support was provided, work of the data-presentation platform of the nuclear power plant during the festival was organized.

This year the competition was attended by about 500 bard artists from nine countries: Russia (22 regions), Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Germany, Serbia, South Korea, Ecuador.

The rich program of the festival pleased not only the participants, but also many holiday guests. There were five creative workshops, about a hundred amateur performers passed the competitive selection. According to the results of auditions, Grand Prix was received by the bard from Novorossiysk Vladimir Ulyanich. In the category "Artist" special prize of the Rostov nuclear power plant was given to Yulia Prudnikov from village Askania Nova, Kherson region (Ukraine).

Special guest of the festival was a well known Belarusian artist "Pesnyary".

The festival ended with spectacular pyrotechnic show.

The Rostov nuclear power plant is a branch of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The nuclear station is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir in 13,5 km from Volgodonsk. There are two power units with VVER-1000 reactors with an installed capacity of 1000 MWt operating at the nuclear station. The power unit No. 1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, the power unit No. 2 – in December, 2010. Physical launch of the power unit ?3 was in November 2014, energy launch - un December 2014. The power unit ?4 is being constructed.
