The Novovoronezh NPP exceeded the plan for electricity generation by 3.8 percent in July

The Novovoronezh NPP power units developed 693,8 milions KWh in July 2014, performing the production plan, approved by the Federal Tariff Service of Russia, at 103.86%. 631.2 million. KWh (104.68% of the plan) was released into the grid.

The capacity factor for the Novovoronezh NPP in July was 50.84% (planned capacity factor - 48.96%).

Since the beginning of 2014 the Novovoronezh NPP has produced 8,022,100,000. KWh of electricity, or 99.60% of the planned target FTS. 7452,5 millions KWh, or 99.62% of the plan, was released into the energy system.

The capacity factor for the first seven months has amounted to 85.97% (planned - 86.31%).

Power units No. 3 and No. 4 of the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant are working in the set mode now. The power unit ? 5 was stopped because of the planned repairs and nuclear fuel reloading.

Average values of a radiation background in settlements of a 30-km zone round the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant corresponded to level of natural background values, characteristic for the Central European Part of Russia.   Current information about a radiation situation near the nuclear power plant in Russia and other objects of the nuclear industry is provided on a site www.russianatom.ru.   The Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant is a branch of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom". The station is located on the bank of the Don River in 42 km to the south of Voronezh. It is the Russia's first nuclear power plant with VVER reactors (water-to-water power reactors of case type with regular water under pressure). Each of five reactors of station is head – a prototype of serial power reactors: the power unit No. 1 with the VVER-210 reactor, the power unit No. 2 with the VVER-365 reactor, No. No. 3, 4 power units with VVER-440 reactors, the power unit No. 5 with the VVER-1000 reactor. The first power unit was launched in 1964, the second – in the 1969, third – in the 1971, fourth – the 1972, fifth – 1979.

There are three power units (power units (No No 1, 2 we're stopped in 1984 and 1990 years respectively) on work at the moment.
