The Leningrad NPP has committed more than 900 thousand rubles, for kindergartens and schools in the Pine Forest

Assistance through charitable activities was provided to several kindergartens of the city - a partial redecoration and purchase cots in the bedrooms, as well as for school ?1 full repair of physics classroom will be done.

"We have been tight friends with this school for a long time, - said the deputy director of the Leningrad NPP personnel management Oleg Karpenko. - Last year "Atom-class" with modern equipment for laboratory experiments, computer technology and literature was opened. It is possible to sharply increase interest in students for technical subjects."

In another friendly school-friend of LNPP - Sosnovoborsk Polytechnic College - the allocated money will be spent on replacing of windows, installing of fire doors and hatches. A City Public Library was helped in the acquisition of shelves for books.

According to the head of the Treasury of the Leningrad NPP Andrey Kiselev, this year such financial assistance was provided to all 18 institutions that are somehow related to the education of children. "In addition to schools and gardens sports schools, institutions of further education and creative workshops are in this list. Taking care of children is a priority, especially in anticipation of the new school year, "- he stressed.


The Leningrad nuclear power plant is JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Pine Pine forest, in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units by electric capacity of 1000 MWt everyone are operating on the nuclear power plant.
