On July 14, 2014 the power unit ?4 of the Kursk NPP was restarted after finding out and correction of the problem, because of which the automatic protection stopped  the power unit on July 11 of this year. Automatic activation was caused by the formation of a false signal to the safety circuits, because of electromagnetic interference in the starter bridge of the central hall crane. After establishing of the cause the overhead crane starter was replaced.

Inclusion of the power unit ?4 was made in accordance with the requirements of technological regulations and instructions.

There have been power units No. 1, 2 and 4 in work since July 14 2014. They work at the capacity established by the dispatching schedule. On power units No. 3 planned repairs are carried out.

The radiation background on the nuclear power plant and around its arrangement is at the level corresponding to normal operation of power units, and doesn't exceed natural background values.
