The Baltic NPP: first-graders from more than 70 low-income families in Neman district received gifts from the NPP workers

The Directorate for the Construction of the Baltic NPP gave "first-graders" from Neman district first school bags in their lives. Campaign was called "portfolio of knowledge", timed to coincide with the beginning of the new academic year, held at the Palace of Culture "Neman" on 29 August.

On this day, children from more than 70 low-income families, who first crossed the threshold of Neman schools, received from the hands of the Director of the JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" "the Directorate for the Construction of the Baltic NPP" Vitaly Trutneva school satchels with a set of stationery.

"With all my best regards I wish you a fascinating journey into the world of knowledge, teachers, educators and professors, optimism and health, and I wish parents wisdom and patience. Let this school year will be for all of you a starting point to conquer new heights, "- said Vitaly Trutnev, congratulating children on the Knowledge Day.

According to a mother of several kids Larisa Yakovenko, such aid from the NPP workers is very handy - on September 1 woman sends to school her three sons. "We are very grateful for the help and attention to our children," - she said.

The action "knowledge portfolio" for children from Neman district atomists held for the second time. Last year, the first-graders were handed 100 backpacks with stationery. School set then was got by the children of four settlements in the region. In total aid reaches every second kid.

Such support wasn’t left without good responses, that inspired the Directorate for the Construction of the Baltic NPP to make the event a tradition.
