Smolensk NPP: Names of Nuclear Engineers Are Entered on Board of Honor
Honoring of Desnogorsk residents, whose names were entered on the city Board of Honor, passed on September 8, 2012. The conscientious work of 12 top employees of industrial enterprises, representatives of medicine, education, culture and sports was distinguished. Deputy Head of the Administration of Desnogorsk, Sergey Toschev, and Deputy Head of the Municipal Entity, Sergey Gaydaychuk, congratulated and thanked them for the weighty contribution to the improvement of the atomic city.
Among those, who have been awarded with high honors, was Deputy Head of the Capital Construction Management of Smolensk NPP, Nikolay Sotnikov. Industrial and housing facilities in Desnogorsk were put into operation with his direct involvement.
The workers of contracting organizations of Smolensk NPP – Chief Engineer of Smolenskatomtekhenergo, Svetlana Gizatulina, Foreman of Smolensk NPP-Service Ltd., Alexander Korotkiy, Section Manager of Smolenskatomenergoremont, Valery Kondratyuk and Deputy Chief of motor vehicle repair shops of JSC Atomtrans, Sergey Belikov, have received honorary certificates of entering their names on the Board of Honor for the high-class workmanship.
Also Shop Manager of Desnogorsk Polymer Plant, Alexander Avdonin, Chief of the Central Library Department, Larisa Boborykina, Senior Foreman of JSC Elektroseti, Vladimir Katayev, Teacher of the Children’s Music School, Igor Mozgolin, Methodist of the Social Rehabilitation Centre for Minors “The Sun”, Alla Mosyagina, Physical Education Head of the Power Engineering College, Nadezhda Chernysheva and Head of the Neurology Department of the Hospital of Medical Unit 135, Irina Shumilina, were recognized as the best professionals.

The city Board of Honor was first established in 2010 as a symbol of labor merit of the city residents and is updated annually.
