Smolensk NPP: Open Darts Tournament among Workers of Nuclear Power Industry in Desnogorsk
An open darts tournament among workers of nuclear power industry passed in Desnogorsk on September 10-11, 2012. The sports forum was dedicated to two anniversaries – 20th anniversary of the Concern Rosenergoatom and 30th anniversary of Smolensk NPP.
Teams of five NPPs of Russia participated in the competitions: Balakovo, Kursk, Kola, Novovoronezh and Smolensk nuclear power plants. Top athletes and winners of the plants’ Spartakiads met on the land of Desnogorsk to show their accuracy and ability to achieve high results.
The most accurate among women were: Anna Drobkova (Smolensk NPP, sanatorium-preventorium “Lesnaya Polyana”), Nadezhda Shishkina (Kola NPP), and Marina Kazachenko (Novovoronezh NPP). Among men were: Andrey Mankov (Smolensk NPP, Turbine Shop), Yuri Spiridonenkov (Smolensk NPP, Department of Technological Management), and Yevgeny Tkachenko (Kola NPP).
In the open tournament among the mixed pairs (male and female), the first place was taken by the team of Smolensk NPP, second – by Team 2, Smolensk NPP, third – by Team 2, Kola NPP. In the team championship on darts, the “gold” went to Team 1, Smolensk NPP, “silver” – to Team 2, Smolensk NPP, and “bronze” was got by Team 1 of Kola NPP.
All participants received memorable souvenirs, and the winners – cups, medals and certificates.
Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Annually SNPP provides the country power system at an average of about 20 billion kWh of electrical power, which makes about 13% of energy produced by Rosenergoatom Concern and more than 80% produced by the power enterprises of the Smolensk Region.
